    Default Quick site

    Hi

Did this site prior to holidays and as everyone knows when you are close to taking a holiday work is put on the back burner. Not done many restaurant sites, mainly because locally they have a silly amount of dishes (most local indian restaurants have a choice of over 100 dishes?!). Anyway a local restaurant approached us to do a simple site for their restaurant and I pretty much had an idea for the look and as they wanted the site quite quickly I decided to keep it simple. In the end the site took just under and hour or so to complete (nothing comes close to the speed of xara webdesigner). BTW for some reason they wanted facebook and twitter icons but they do not have the respective accounts for them (probably will have in the future, I suppose).

maybe put the anchors a line or so above the section titles?

thanks Frank, that's a good point. It seems that firefox links to the bottom of the anchor whereas chrome links to the top of the anchor. Will follow your suggestion, thanks again.

    I'm astonished to hear that.

For some reason the right edge of the contact form fields is cut off ( placeholder too small?).

The text for the menu was supplied in clean format so that was just copy/paste, sometimes the design is clear in my mind and it really takes next to no time to do the actual site, other times the site may take 5 or 6 hours to actually create but the idea for the look of it can take days of mock-ups. Which browser are you seeing the cut-off on the contact form?

I should say that I'm running on a Mac.

On IE running in a windows emulator, same cut-off.
Mac Safari and Chrome - no cutt-off.
Mac Firefox and Opera - cutt-off.

I'll make the placeholder wide just to cover all bases.
