Apply Button for "Text repelling and anchoring" Dialog

Add an "Apply" button so that the settings can be previewed before closing the dialog.

What's wrong with making the change, looking at it and undoing it if wrong? In this case, it is a all or nothing with little else to vary; an Adjust button is usually to allow tweaks.
Adding an extra stage here would break the natural flow in my opinion.

I agree with Stephen. Xara absolutely oblige you to click OK or Apply on the, for example, Placeholder dialog and then dispense with the convention when it suits them, e.g. the Repel Text dialog. They should stick to one or the other throughout the program.
