xpdx9 splash screen DRAWING pencil logo missing?

On the xpdx9 splash screen, the DRAWING pencil logo is missing?
What does this say about the future of XDP as a drawing app?

What are your thoughts on this?

Unless I've misread something, I don't think the OP is asking about the splashscreen itself, rather that the drawing pencil has been left off.
Therefore asking what this says about the future of XDP as a drawing app.

I hope it will continue to be a drawing program but it feels more and more like it leaning towards the Microsoft Publisher side of programs. I don't want to see that happen to it.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I am not concerned about the LOOK of the splash screen.
I am concerned about why wasn't the DRAWING icon included or given priority like in the past.

How do you know it was taken out? Did you see a Beta splashscreen for DPX9 which had a DRAWING icon or something?

William - I think you are being too literal. I do not think the absence of the pencil means any more than the designer wanted to represent the three other products in the suite and then the 4th icon represents all of these separate products in one product. Honest.
