Default Gregory Crewdson - Photography as fine art

We watched a documentary last evening about Gregory Crewdson a photographer who creates images that are similar to fine art paintings. He lights and props his setups in the same manner as they light for the movies and his photo shoots are large scale productions.

The work for the show which appears here http://www.aperture.org/crewdson/ is very large and digitally printed. The images posses a dreamlike, Edward Hopper-esque quality.

Here is a link to the movie http://www.gregorycrewdsonmovie.com/ I highly recommend it.

I had a look at the linked sites and the photography was indeed amazing I'd love to see the whole film however it doesn't appear to be released outside of the US yet.
