These are just things I like starting up the program with and have tried to remain consistent in the design from version to version.

I used Xara, however I traced over rendered models I created. Which, if you think about it, is another testament to the features in Xara.

Well Sir Gare, you stand in line behind noone - we are all on the front lines together if we believe this is the best s/w out there for our individual needs and if we want to help Xara improve it for our needs. I truly think that's what we're all trying to achieve here. It's a really tough job upgrading to new versions and doing it bug-free....almost noone does that but Xara is pretty good as even when there are bugs, they address them pretty quickly.

Thank you for your high opinion Gare, it means a lot....however, I'm really just telling it like I believe it is.....we're all Brother's in Arms when it comes to Xara, we just approach it from different perspectives at times and if we can remember that fact as we move through 'consultation' the path will certainly be smooth. I would much rather have people tell it like it is from their perspective than be guessing at what they are trying to say....

For that sir, thank you very much and you to HD.....as Gare said before.....he respects your opinion....as do very many on this site.

Well, I've talked enough about this, I'll let the real experts take it over.......and one more little thing.....you are an awesome moderator, don't short yourself, you do an awesome job......it is indeed good to be alive and feel the spirit of the conversation, all this great dialogue will certainly have a fruitful outcome eventually.....

ps. i won't be making a new splash screen foir my copy
i don't need to be told what my xara app can or cannot do
the splash screen isn't aimed at me
i don't even know who it's aimed at tbh
but it doesn't matter how good any alternatives end up being
    xara won't put it in
that was the point of this thread
    they've completely stopped listening
they dont contribute to threads like this
but i'd like them to prove me wrong
If someone tried to make me dig my own grave I would say No.

    Honestly Frank,

I don't generally have fun at anyone's expense, when I meant fun, I meant it might be fun to have a bunch of us here doing our idea of what the splash screen should look like. Nothing really more than that.....and definitely not at anyone's expense at all....just fun, that's partly what this forum is about.....

I personally believe everyone has a valid point simply because each of us is an individual and has our own perspective so, it might be a lot of fun to see what everyone can come up with.....for some, it might not be, but for others it might be....it all depends on perspective and personally, I try very hard to allow everyone have their perspective because it is valid, even if it might be only for them, it is still valid.....

OG Your first solution is very similar to Larry's design http://www.talkgraphics.com/showthre...944#post481944

I read Larry's as a 7 and the same with your first design.
