This is my first time using this forum. Can anyone identify the font on the word Tamarind? Been searching all morning and can't reach the original designer. Please and thank you.

You might try this instead. I tried your link Frank and all I got was trouble. This link allows the font download and that's all, from dafont it wants to do some kind of installer complete with a bunch of stuff I don't want on my computer. http://www.fontspace.com/category/Sierra+Madre

this isn't an exact match particularly the S but so far it's the best I could find.

http://www.fontsy.com/font_details_876.html This seems to be a good site and downloads this font without all the extra addware.

Hmm. Very odd. When I click the "Download" link on the right I get a zip file with the font, nothing more. I've always used Dafont and I've never had any installers, just zip files containing the selected font(s).

Same here. The grey download button at that link gives me sierra_madre.zip.
Inside the .zip are 5 files. 4 true type fonts and 1 license text file.

But I suspect that because I'm pretty sure Frank uses AdBlock for Chrome (as do I), we didn't get tricked by this on the page:
