Help with live trace.

Hi all, I'm not a big graphics person, I'm helping out a friend with a website for a non for profit company.
I've been given this image (attached). I've very low res. I was hoping some AI pro may be able to help me, probably take all of 5 mins. I've spent some time on it and not getting anywhere. I'd just like the image reproduced as a vector in a high res. Just want simply clean edges, my efforts have not been very good.

A one-off like this you could use Vectormagic online. Would take less than a minute.

I've got a result I'm happy with. I just need some help changing the colors, I'd like the background to be transparent, and have the figure in white.

I'm sure you can manage this yourself, it's rather trivial in Illustrator.
Select then remove (press Delete) the white background shape.
Marquee select the blue body and head shape.
Press 'X' to select Fill and change the blue to white.
Export as PNG (if that's what you need of course)
