    Default PDF export vanished

    Hi,
I am running Windows XP PRO and Xara Designer Pro X.

Previously I have been able to export my work to PDF, but as of today the PDF option has vanished from my list of exportable formats.

Does anyone know what might have happened?
Does anyone know how to solve the problem?

It works absolutely fine to print as a PDF-file, but export is not an option anymore.

I really, really need help with this one.

As mentioned in your Xara-Users post:

Seems that the .dll has not been registered properly on your system.
Make sure you have no registry protection utilities running then try to register manually from the command box C: prompt (root directory) with regsrvr32, eg:

    Regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Xara\Xara Designer Pro X\Filters\PDFImport\ PDFImport.dll"

Or if you are running a 64bit OS

    Regsvr32 "C:\Program Files (x86)\Xara\Xara Designer Pro \Filters\PDFImport\PDFImport.dll"

    Thanks!

However, a nice clean power off - and then power on - helped ;-)

Now the export to PDF works just like before.

Same happened here. A restart of Xara fixed things.

Glad you got it sorted out. I just checked mine and the option is there. Since I don't do that very often I wasn't sure where to look or how to do it but it was in the first place I looked.

Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.
