Default Custom Navigation bar = pain!

    Here's the website I'm working on http://www.museum.tv/MBC_Redo_Site/index.htm

Creating a custom nav bar in the designs gallery was way to much for me. Why can't we just be able to select a nav bar in the designs gallery, ungroup it to edit the look of it, then simply have an option that says something like "use your own image"? Instead, that option is not there and the instructions to "create your own mouseover buttons" was way to complicated.

Anyway, just looking to somehow make the font yellow for the last option on the right - 'PRIVATE EVENT'.

I'm able to make in yellow in the program by highlighting with the text option then using "set fill color". But then when I upload it, it's in white text instead?

Ah, you didn't say mouseoff layer as well..

OK, in Web Properties link tab, un check the item 'Use common website link colors'
Then you can colour the text as you wish.

It's the weirdest thing. It's yellow still in the program but even with the change you recommended, it's still white when uploaded.

Another question. How can I made those yellow box stay with the text when you hover over a button with your mouse? Since there was no option to upload a new button, I just paste each yellow box in next to the text. It's kinda annoying though how they go away when you hover the mouse over them.

Sorry I was longer than expected..

Here's a file which I think does what you are after?
I've added my own slant on it of course

Reverse engineer it to see how I've put it together.

    Hi Sledger,

Couple questions, do I just piece each nav 1, 2, 3 etc to make it whole inside my working.web file? Also, they told me I need to make the yellow nav item as the far right item on the menu bar, can I just use your far left located "nav 1" (the yellow font) as my right most nav bar item?

    Thank-you! Todd

Todd you can bake it any way you like it, my file just demonstrated the possibility and proof that it can do what I understood you needed.
So use my file as a reference to rework your own
