Default Testing site for mobile device?

Is it possible to test a site on a mobile/tablet device with Xara WD?

I am a little concerned about the end product that needs to be viewed on other than Desktop/Laptop.

One reason I have doubts about this product is reviews saying that it hasn't adapted to mobile technology?

Product appears fine - apart from not being able to view coding and edit.

I just want to be able to trust the software to have the adaptability.

Or to be able to preview on devices, without testing a device that I don't possess or isn't available.

    Hope that makes sense?

You're hoping for a bit much I think.

Expecting Xara to provide a mobile emulation capability for the devices out there is unreasonable - particularly for software at this price point.

Nobody has every device, so generally developers have a small selection of devices for testing that are representative.

Xara can be used for mobile sites but it doesn't do responsive design. Basically you switch to an alternative site for different platform form factors.

Xara is a site generator - it's not a code editor.

Download the trial, check out xaraxone.com and the TG threads.

    Welcome to TalkGraphics Alisanos

The best way to test your site is on a mobile device.

Design to a smaller page size, and keep your content simple. Make your text and buttons larger. And remember that visitors who are connecting through a mobile device will download your content slower than on a desktop device.

In other words, design with a large dose of common sense and you can't go wrong.
