    Default Chrome letters

    Here's what I came up with after trying to create chrome letters

    I do chrome lettering a lot. I have found that less is more when it comes to getting the right effect. I'm usually using it for some form of advertising so I need to make a point, and one that stands out. Most people are used to seeing chrome lettering on a car, and of course what you actually see is a reflection of the surroundings. But attempts to use a photo or picture for a reflection have not really worked to well for me. After many attempts I have settled on a dark horizon like line about 2/3rds down the object which then fades out. I usually fade to white white above that, sometimes with a hint of blue (probably because we don't get to see blue skies that often here in the UK).

    I also use the Eye Candy 4000 Demo Chrome Plugin that use to be bundled in with Xara for the edges.
