    Default Dumb animation trick

Lightning-fast display has always been one of Xara's strengths, even on machines back in the mid-1990s.

Which gave me an idea, and you can do this type of animation, too, if you own a copy of Camtasia or other screen capture video utility (Open source CamStudio might work for you).

    1. Set up your scene in Xara with a background, as I did...some stars.

    2. Create a foreground shape and then use the Extrude tool to make it into a 3D shape.

    3. Apply a weird Live Effect: I used the Soften>Camera Zoom filter here.

    4. Make sure your video capture program doesn't record the cursor, start recording, and then rotate and move your Extrude shape around.

Dumb, but entertaining if you watch it less than twice.

    My Best,

    Gary

That made me smile Gary - but that would provoke disapproving stares in an open-plan office!

    Beware the music!

People in open-plan offices disapprove of Mozart!?

    ;)

I'll mark this "NSFW": No Sonatas For Work".

LOL - In an open-plan office, music sonata allowed. (say it in your head in a cheesy Italian accent).

...and Laughing out Loud is also permitted?

Often wondered about that, and whether people do it as often as they write it.

    WOL (wondering out loud),

No LOL forbidden in an open-plan office. I'm at home, though!

Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.
