    Default Give some space at top of page.

    Hi There,

    I am using one of the Xara web templates and the header graphic is right at the top of the page.
    How do I give it some space at the top of the page as I do not like it right at top of the browser window.

    Thanks for your help,

    Steve.

    Depending on version of Xara:-

    <style>
    #xr_xr {
    margin-top:10px;
    }</style>

    Into Web properties >> Website >> html code (head)

    OR

    * Draw a rectangle on the pasteboard as a placeholder

    * Right click, go to Names and add <head>

    * Then Web properties >> Placeholder and enter the code in html code area

    The margin can of course be changed to suit

    Do you want the page to still go to the browser top? If so, why can you not select the entire toolbar/graphic/content and drag it lower down the page?
    You may have to lengthen your pages first.

    Your both correct. Two different methods. Steve - do either of these answer your question?

    I have the opposite problem, how do I get my uppermost header graphic (and all the rest of the page below the header) to the very top with no gap? I tried zaphodeist's method but changed the 10 to a 0 (zero).

    <style>
    #xr_xr {
    margin-top:0px;
    }</style>

    ... and that didn't seem to fix me.

    What I realized is that my graphics (header and other spanning graphics) were not the same width as the page itself and I didnt have the page outline switched on (no pun intended). All fixed now that I see where the top of my page is as I just grabbed everything and moved it to the top. Cheers!

    Hi Gary,

    I used the suggestion from Zaphodeist, and that worked perfectly.

    All the best,

    Steve.

    Hi Painless,

    Where can I find page outline to turn it on or off?

    Best Regards,

    Steve.
