What is causing this error? I'm trying to upload and image or import the image and when it is on the site this error hit me.

We will need to know what version (full version number from about dialog) of what program you are running. It has something to do with background layers but beyond that I can't say without more information. Is it repeatable with a particular Xar file? If so, then please submit a support ticket at support.xara.com and provide the file for testing purposes.
