    Default Copyrights

    Hi for everyone,

We have at home a very old edition of cookbook for children, where Winnie the Pooh and his friends make different foods :-)

That is so sweet that wanted to reproduce a scene of that in Xara, scanning the page, putting to a background layer, drawing through the shapes, adding fills and transparencies so clearly with vector tools.

I am not sure could it be posted for example here to ask about opinions, as it is a well known Disney figure so probably they own rights officially. Which of course I would not ask for them, in that case rather not posting

If an artist copies a picture in the forest and nobody sees, who would ever know?

What do you intend to do with the copy (if you made one)?

Disney is fierce on copyright protection. But luckily for you, the Pooh story goes back to 1926, when the first book was written by A.A. Milne. Lots of people have made their own Pooh-character interpretations. Full story here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winnie-the-Pooh_(book)

You can make your own Pooh as well, just like Disney. Just don't copy theirs line-for-line. And you can get a copy of the original for inspiration, price US $6, at http://www.amazon.com/Winnie-Pooh-Pu.../dp/0142404675 ...have fun!

Basically nothing, I took as a challenge and made a vector reproduction based on that. Just would like to ask some good eyes from Talkgraphics where it could be better, and of course just simply being proud of it too

And well that is of course line-for-line copy as the Shape tool lines of course follow the bear

But so probably there is no issue with this character and imagined in Xara Art Gallery thread
