You can add these to your site using a placeholder. If you need more information on how to do this, look under Help for Placeholder Objects.

Both of these look serviceable, Gary. Thanks for the direction on this, as I'm looking to experiment with this in the next couple of days. One question...

These are both free services, and thus, are branded. Are you aware of any paid product that that be integrated with Xara to provide site search functionality?

Sorry, Sledger, that wasn't intentional. I appreciate the info. Long day and my thinking's been a bit muddled today!

The AtomX search box is not branded and will index your entire site. I used it here http://www.placitasartists.com/

Once you are it to your site it takes about 24 hours to index your site.

Getting it to display where you want it is a challenge, you need to move it around, preview the page, move it, preview the page, etc. until you get it to show up where you want it.

I think this script will only work in Blogger. I tried it in a placeholder and it generated the button and works in preview mode but it does not perform the search.

I sent an inquiry to the developer and asked if it is possible to use these outside of Blogger. If I hear back I'll update this post.
