What are you hoping to see in the next version of Designer Pro?

@slavelle -- OMG. You're right -- July 10 IS significant! If I knew it was your birthday... but I didn't, so now, if you'll allow me, I'm going to fix this by withdrawing my July 10 pick and replacing it with a new, even more psychically-accurate pick of Friday, July 5.

But -- when do YOU think they'll release it?

One thing I know for certain, Jon - is that longer we wait for the release the less time there is 'till the actual release. So, the more you wait, the quicker it will come.

Maybe you are both saying the same thing. I barely got through physics in college (as is obvious). We'll see. But I'll bet (just an expression, Barb/Ange) on July 5th. What do you think?

1) The Align and Distribute dialogue from Inkscape.

2) Menus for everything. It's very hard to learn what Xara can do when so many features are available exclusively from keyboard shortcuts.

3) Always export edited bitmaps at original size unless otherwise specified. Also a button to restore original size.

4) It can't be that hard to export particular bitmap transparency modes to PNG. Must try harder.

Already done. See WD9P and PGD9
It's a given that it will appear in DPX9.

So this was added in PGD9? I didn't see it on the new features page, which had put me off upgrading altogether.

I'd like to see it called simply "Professional Designer 9" to be consistent with the rest of the line.

Names like: "Xara Photo & Graphic Designer MX 2013" or "Xara Designer Pro X (v8)" seem needlessly complex/confusing and a result of a marketing dept that's perhaps had a tad too much coffee ;-)

Text tool: + columns, + text in shape, + advanced typography option like quark/indesign
Export: better support AI (fonts), for png PLEASE add this algorithm (http://tinypng.org/) - I recomended for all!!!
Name gallery: multi rename option (prefix, numbering etc).
"Pixel view" like illustrator
