    Default Background image

    Hi

Regarding the stethoscope.xar which I've uploaded, why is it that the background image with the stethoscope appears perfectly behind the text and the colour and border of the stethoscope image doesn't show through.

When I want to use a background image I remove all the background colour (using the intersect tool) and then place it behind the text. This is very time consuming.

I love the way the stethoscope is done and would like to know how it is achieved.

I will upload one of my Xara documents to further explain how I struggle to place an object in the background. I often change the colour of the whole picture to make it blend in. The problem with doing this is that even the image itself changes colour and not just the background. In the case of yellowSardoynx.xar, I would prefer the original yellow colour of the beads without the white background.

    Hope this makes sense.

    Hi Zakiyya,
Regarding to your work in stethoscope file, the image of stethoscope was grouped with flat transparency, just ungroup and you will have no more trans.

The second file, i have used the colour select and erase to delete the white background and then applied repelling from Arrange menu. you can add shadow too if you want.
If you like it so and you can try it your self, better if not i can attache the new .xar files
    Just let me know please.
    Best regards
    BP

PS:. great work, i like it

Thank you very much for the information. I am just an amateur and learning as I go along.

I would greatly appreciate if you could attach the new .xar file for the yellow tasbeeh document.

I am using Xara Photo and Graphic Designer 7 - can i color select and erase?

    Thank you.
