dynamic photo gallery- changing images

I am in the middle of creating a website for a client, using Xara Designer Pro X. As part of a client's requirement for a page on the website, I was asked to create a gallery of 24 small images - 2 blocks of 4 images changing 3 times.

i did my best to create this using the Nivo slider twice, in order to accommodate all the images.

but that meant that a slider appeared twice. My client didn't like the fact that the slider appeared in 2 places and said it looked clumsy.

when i told him that these were the tools I had at my disposal, he got annoyed and had someone else create exactly what he wanted and sent it to me as a gif file. see attached.

what you see on http://www.jentonuv.co.uk/jenact_tes...sinfection.htm is exactly what the client wanted, using the gif file that he sent me.

my question is: does anyone know how this was done and can anyone explain how to do this so that next time I can do it myself and avoid the embarrassment

I felt and because I want to know how to do it in the future.

I use this Visual Slideshow

Publish the slide show to a folder. Create a placeholder and past the HEAD portion of the index.html document into the Replace HTML Code with (Head) section and the Body in the Body section.

The two folders Engine and Date need to be uploaded to the root directory.

Thanks for that. Is it possible to create the image gallery without the thumbnails aligned to left/right or top.

You can do this in Xara Designer. Exactly the same.

Create your sized photos (4 to a block) and export them with error diffusion and websnap optimised .gif files.
I created 3 image blocks (4 images per block)
Start a new animation doc and size the page to the same as the 4 images.
Drag in one image black and position it exactly, set the timing to 2.00
Copy the frame twice then replace frame 2 and frame 3 with your other image blocks.
Export animation as .gif
Drag into your Web Designer document.
Done.

Ewa - Yes, on the Properties > Thumbnail tabbed section, remove the check from Enable Thumbnails.

There are changes you can make in the Properties > General tabbed section too. Un-check Show Captions, Show Controller, and Show Loader.
