    Well, maybe not blue blue,
    but neither is their grass.

    Good point.
I get a kick out of "bluegreass" musicians. They play 200 mph and barely move.

Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.

I don't understand what the title is all about.
Some connection that I don't see!

    But, the drawing is great.

IMHO, the red barn detracts from the rest of the illustration and stands out like a... red barn.

The rest of the illustration rocks.

Like the way you did the feathers. Nice drawing to sure about what Gary said about the barn.
    Design is thinking made visual.

    Thanks for the comments.
Rik, the illustration is titled after a song recorded by
many artists including Elvis. I think even the Beatles may have
given it a go once; don't know if they ever recorded it.
gwpriester, your comment is interesting. There is a second
version of this panel that used a water feature in place of the barn.
The couple letting the original commission commented that they
were not “barn people” and opted for the water version.
They collected owl paraphernalia in a huge way so my first
idea was to start with a tiny barn owl with the common to that
region, bright, red barn drawing attention to the roof advertisement,
“See Rock City”. That's the version shown here.
