    Default Wacom Tablet Setup

Anyone know what settings I need to change in Wacom.

Currently, when I press the pen down to create a curve in pen mode, I get a pop up menu. I am currently unable to click drag because menu interferes.

    Thank you

The problem seems to be just in Xara. Corel Photo Essentials and Sketchbook do not have this issue.

I did install drivers earlier, but computer has been in the shop and they gave me a new user name (at my request) and it acts like all the programs are being opened for the first time. So, it is possible I may have to load the drivers again. What do you think if it is working in both Corel and Sketchbook?

After going into Corel & Sketchbook, I went back into Xara and everything works fine! So I no longer have the menu pop up problem.

    Thank you Handrawn

    Hi

ok first check if they are installed - based on my bamboo tablet you should have an entry in your start menu under either 'bamboo' or 'wacom' [depending on sys/driver ver] with a link to 'wacom/bamboo preferences' and for later driver versions 'wacom preference file utility' - always a good idea to download an install latest drivers from wacom site BTW

failing that look in control panel unistall programs and see if the drivers are listed there again under either wacom or bamboo

if they are not there install them and that might cure the problem

if not - is it the xara mouse right-click menu you are getting or a different one

    Handrawn,

I went into Bamboo Dock and it was totally empty! So, I tried to install the drivers but things didn't work right, so I ended up uninstalling the tablet and reinstalling it.

So, everything is working good; works good in Xara now.

BTW it was not the right-click menu I was getting, but a different one.

ok - glad it is working

some programs take control of the graphic tablet themselves; AFAIK xara does not do this so if the bamboo driver settings were incorrect that would explain it...

    Hi Brian:

Sorry to hear you are having the same frustration. The answer for me was to uninstall my Wacom tablet and then re-install again.

As handrawn said, Xara does not take control of the graphic tablet, therefore it is quite possibly a Wacom driver issue.

    hope this helps!
