When dragging out a selection rectangle to select an object that is partially off the computer screen (red triangle in example), the screen automatically begins to scroll as cursor nears edge of working area.
The scrolling speed seems to be synced to how close mouse cursor is to the edge of screen; the closer to the edge, the faster the scroll.
If the cursor moves outside the drawing area (which easily happens when dragging out the selection rectangle quickly, then the scrolling action takes place so suddenly that entire page shoots off the screen and disappears before its movement can be stopped.
My suggestion is to either halt scrolling entirely when cursor moves outside work area or slow it
down to a controllable rate that allows user to stop it when selection rectangle is completed.
