Love it, though some of the added boat features don't seem to fit with the ambiance - too bright. Who am I to criticise, anyway?
That was my impression Paul. The color of the boat and the river appears too saturated compared to the rest of the photo.

I agree with Paul and Gary, plus the focus seems to be on the brick path. The only reason the boat gets any attention is because it is so colorful, but it just doesn't fit color-wise.

Better. Thanks Derek. But, my eye is still pulled to the path, I think it's because of the bright area at the far end close to the building.

I like the boat much better, but the attached bit is still too bright for my humble eye.
Much better.
What is happening as Larry has pointed out, is the boat and the house being of almost equal importance have set up a competition to draw your eye. I am not sure if this tension is a bad thing. It's just the way the composition is working.
