It makes me remember seeing a movie about this plane with Dan Aykroyd.
Must've been a fantastic plane to fly.

OK, I watched the whole thing - it's shown onTrue Movies 1 as a two-parter over two hours.

It's a remarkable film that plays out as Technical triumph killed by political incompetence - a project scrapped by poor political decision making, compounded by a political cover-up of the planes success and commercial and political interference south of the border.

At the end of the film, it explains the aftermath of the project and the disastrous consequence of it's cancellation.

It's a well-made fil that mixes historical footage and accounts with modern reconstruction - they did a great job. You can even see real footage of a flying saucer.

Well worth watching. "The Arrow" is being repeated here in the UK on Wednesday.

It seems to have been a complete disaster - turning a success story into a failure, all because of gullible politicians and dastardly Americans!

It seems that Aviation companies worldwide and NASA benefitted from the fallout and Canada lost it's chance of building a world-beating military aviation industry.

It's a true irony that Canada ending up paying much more by scrapping the project and bought obsolete planes and missiles from the USA.

I'm not even Canadian and I'm pretty stirred up by the cancellation of the project.

Nice touch by the filmmakers at the end (no spoilers here).

Thanks Paul. The film is pretty good. The biggest loss to the program was the loss of all the talent that left the country.
