    Default FTPS vs FTP

I have a client that has a site hosted by Yahoo. Prior to Sept 2012 FTP protocol was used. Since then FTPS has been required and I'm not sure if I need to use an external FTPS or if Xara will in fact handle it. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have always used Xaras "publish" tab in the past.

    Thanks in advance.

I think you will need an FTP program that supports SFTP.

SFTP is a little more secure in terms of hackers intercepting the code and information.

Xara only transfers in FTP. Filezilla supports SFTP, I have just been through this lately myself.

    Xara KB article regarding SFPT/FTPS

    Solution
Current versions of Web Designer and Designer Pro do not support secured FTP connections, so in order to publish your website to your web host you'll need to export the website files locally by selecting File -> Export website. Then once that's completed use a third party FTP client program such as FileZilla or WinSCP and use that to upload the files to your web server.
