    Hi Mikey,

This is not a canon camera. I do not know if you can play with Pentax Raw files? Mine have a pef extension. This file is just under 10MB This would be a real waste of bandwidth if you could not read em...

About being flat... there is a little bit of distance between here and there... You know, distance tends to flaten things out a bit... http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif

i guess i phrased that wrong how about lack of detail? not sure if that is correct either. look at Rians shot here again rian raw shot

i would think you should get this kind of detail with yours also. not unless you are not shooting with a telephoto lens. i am not be critical of your shots they are 100x better then mine. it is still crappy weather here guess i missed the full moon not supposed to clear up here till the begining of next week. i messed with your raw shot but i couldnt get any more detail out of than you did. look foward to more of your shots.

    Mikey,

    I have a 6 Meg not an 8 or bigger, I am also just using a 300MM.

Maybe Rian has a bigger or better lens. I was trying to find a doubler, a 600MM is just a litle too large, and costs too much for just a moon shot. You seen how much area, my moon actually takes up.

here is what he used "300mm lens at F5.6 and a shutter of 1/500 at ISO 400" i wouldnt think 2 mp would make that much difference but i am probably wrong. the doubler shouldnt run you more than 50-70 bucks at any camera store. try ebay for a larger tetlephoto or better yet amazon.com i am hoping to have a telescope by the end of the summer. then look out sky!
