Here is a desktop for whomever is interested...
You know... WE need to come up with a really good desktop for halloween...
I like to look at moon, but what so fun in these shots?
IMHO moon is the most trivial subject, though, I like the quality of images.
Besides, I have no cam to do such things.
I should scan one of my images, I think you'll like it.

Dimitry, it is more of a challenge than anything. the moon is a hard picure to take. i have started taking them with just the camera as you can tell if you have been following the thread. now i am using a telescope with my camera and it is still harder, actually i think it is harder!
JOhn has come along way with his photos also. you would think it is a easy subject but once you try it, it does come addictive as it is hard. thats what is fun about thise pictures the hard work and frustration that goes into the pictures. Just like drawing a image in Xara it takes some skill not just a point and shoot subject.

Ok, I agree. And, infact, night photography is addictive thing.
But picture of a moon itself is boring anyway (for ordinary viewer).
IMHO it has no artistic sence. Seeing on it by eye is much better

I have to agree with you about the moon itself being trivial to take a shot of. I take mine for use as bitmap stock for use in my art. for instance, my entry in the wheels group showing used one of my moon shots. The desktop I threw together last night, is still another. The doodle of mine is yet a third.
I intend on taking the best shots of this months moon shots and putting together a video for my video production division. It is raw stock... the better the stock, the more you can do with it.
Try taking a shot of the moon... You will find out it is just as Mikey says... addictive. I have spent over $1k US on my addiction, so far. Mikey has spent close to that also... I have over 1500 moon shots. I could never afford this with film... but with Digital, I can look and learn, test and discover.
