3 days till the full moon guys... shake the dust of the camera, and practice a bit. That includes you too Risto. yea i just saw it in my email. going to try a new program on it that i found called registack. i need to make it smaller though http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif . it seems to be like astro stack where you take multiple images and it stacks them to bring out more detail. i am also going to do this in ps to see if the results are the same.

my telescope should be here by the 27th i bought a Meade etx-70 for around 100 brand new in the box off of ebay. i was bidding on a reflector but someone ran the bid up on me so i retracted it. as i think it was the guy that posted the listing.

Looks pretty good Mikey. Did you know you can also get the same effect by tossing a couple copies of brightness transparency ontop the original...

i tried it in xara like you said and the results were no where near what ps did. the ynsharp mask brings out the detail in your picture and by doing extra layers it brings out more detail .
