Try this and if it does not work then please start a new thread and we'll get you fixed.

First, in your browser press F5, and or Ctrl + F5. This will refresh the page. If you don't see your changes then try the next suggestion.

Your old website home page might have been saved as index.html. By default, Xara publishes the home page as index.htm. Browsers look for an index file and if they find two, they load the .html version.

So go to your first page, then open the Website Properties > Page dialog and name your home page index.html. This forces all your pages to publish with the html extension and might solve your problem.
