Default New color changer in 8

Can someone explain (or better yet, do a youtube video) how to use the new color changer in 8? I am wanting to do the same type of thing that they did with the example photo of the flowers but I cannot figure out how they did it even after reading and using the "Help" directory. I am sure I am missing something really simple.

Personally, I am unclear as to what you're having trouble with?
Can you give an example of what you're trying to do?
What do you mean by 'the new colour changer'?
What topic is it in the "Help" directory, because I cannot find anything that says colour changer?

    Hi Rik

reckon its the color select/eraser tool as per here:

    http://www.xara.com/us/products/designer/whatsnew/

if you click on examples you see some color change edits

[sorry - in midst of changing from 32bit to 64bit, don't even have xara installed at present]

You need to select the colors you want to change by clicking once, or more times on the colors you want to alter.

When you have done this, then press the Make Soft Mask button. This maskes every part of the image except the portions/colors you have selected.

Now switch to the Photo Tool, and use any of the Enhance sliders to alter the selection.

    Thanks for that, Steve.
I see what the OP is referring to now.

So, here are some instructions in PDF.

Here is a quick video tutorial I've included the instuctions that Rik and the others have provided so far in this thread and I have also demonstrated how to mask out and colour select/change the colours in just one area of the photo.

I tried to do this fairly quickly so my colour selection wasn't perfect but as I said in the video if you spend a bit more time adjusting the colour markers and the sliders for each one you can get some amazing results!
