    Default vector image from photo

I am trying to get a vector image of a face to cut on my vinyl cutter
so it needs to be just black and white with smooth edges.
Anyone know how to go about this .

    Thanks
    Mike

Default Re: vector image from photo

CorelTRACE used to do a pretty good job. I have not used Corel for years so I am not sure how good it is any more.

Vector Magic is by far the best bitmap tracer on the market.

I would start with a good high resolution image of the face you want to use then use a threshold to reduce the colors to black and white. Then when you get the threshold setting right, convert the bitmap to vector.
