Looking for a font creator/editor

I've used High Logic Font Creator for years but have recently discovered my program won't work anymore. After contacting High Logic's Support they informed me that they don't support the older versions anymore and that I would have to upgrade at a price of $79.00.

Does anyone know of a really user friendly font creator and editor out there that won't break the bank
