    Default Posh Site for Harrogate

This is a continuation of the sites I am doing for a car window tinting company. For this one I had to be a bit different as it is for the posh town of Harrogate in North Yorkshire. Most people in the UK are familiar with Harrogate and it's level of poshness (is that even a word) with very few boy racers and more than it's share of well off business men the site had to appeal to them, basically a more professional site with subdued colours (kind of).

    Again all comments are welcome.

    Thank you

Thank you, this series of sites are so difficult you cannot imagine, I still have 3 more to do and each one has to be different, trying to come up with different designs on the same subject and trying to keep them all different is damn difficult.

I think the text copy needs an overhaul - it's far from upmarket.

I think they deserve better than "car's", sentences of capitalised words, etc.
I think that if this is presented as an upmarket site and pushing the link with premium marques (let's ignore Ford), then the copy needs attention.

I gasped when I read the banner.

Sketch, I guess I wasn't too diplomatic in the early hours about the site copy, so I apologise for that but I hope you do revisit the copy. The use of the apostrophe is not great at the moment and for many of the target audience it will jar badly - I don't drive round in any marque, but as you know it jarred with me and no doubt it will do for anyone running around in an expensive car. You have a good eye for design, but the copy definitely needs work.

    Over and out.

Surely if the windows are of the car or belong to the car then the apostrophe is justified, but the last thing I want is to get into another apostrophe war. As for the copy there is not much you can do to make it sound 'posher' other than hitting the thesaurus. Also the copy was supplied by the client, as we charge quite a lot to supply content they opted for supplying it themselves. But your comments on the design are appreciated.

    Your car windows tinted.

I don't have issues with the design - great job as usual, but the copy isn't great. You don't need a thesaurus.

Hi. I'm a little late joining in the discussion. May I suggest that the title (banner) read "Tinted Windows for Your Car." It puts the focus on the tinting, not on the car. Actually, "Custom Tinted Windows" would suffice, as it obviously refers to car windows being tinted. "Your Car's Windows Tinted" is awkward phrasing. Whatever comes naturally in speech, use that. "Experts in Car Window Tinting."

And I would make the word "Tinting" transparent with a gradient over it, to mimic the look of tinting

Edit to add: Great looking site design, though. Very classy.
