Friends,

As long as I'm a newbie here, wondered if there is a workaround for this problem...

Been using and respected the power of Xara 3D since version 4.

One frustrating limitation since the beginning.

The background texture works well for a seamless tiled texture.

I'm trying to use one bitmap or jpeg as the background graphic. Problem is the background graphic gets tiled like it was a seamless texture and creates a geometry mess. This makes placement of the text difficult as well.

Have found that I can adjust the text to one of the background tiles, then crop the excess in Photoshop, but this downgrades the quality because the crop is a much smaller file.

Is there a way to deal with this. Maybe some optimum size for the background so that the text is placed where you see it and the rendered file is accurate. Don't know if this can be done. Would be great if we could import a background graphic, create the text and export the file in the way we view it in the workspace window.

Thanks for advice,

John
