This is a friend of a writer friend of ours. http://www.michaelwhelan.com

I love the image of the woman in the white gown in the center of the cement spiral.

Thanks for the link Gary. He is a very talented artist, I recognise many of his works being the cover art for many books I have read over the years.

Yes, he's a superb artist ... and one of my favourites. He did the cover art for the Dragon Prince series of books by Melanie Rawn, which I read many 'eons' ago... can't remember exactly when (early 90s I think). Very good read too, the type of books, if you are into fantasy, that you pick up and suddenly realise that the '20 minutes bedtime reading' has turned into 8 hours and it's time to get up. They were beautiful illustrations, I very much like his use of colour and light.

Thanks for the link Gary and the associated memories.

    Regards

    Su

indeed - and an excellent example of why stimulating imagination is far more important than simply looking 'cool'

I'm impressed! I myself have worked very hard to paint more impressionistic, and get away from the almost photographic perfection that was required in my daily work. Let's just say I wanted to loosen up.
I want to do that same thing with my Xara work but I just haven't figured how yet.

Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.
