Free Magix space URL

Just about to start using my free magix web space.

The instructions on the Magix site say:

"it is accessible via your domain or via your MAGIX web address http://yourname.magix.net/public. In case you loaded the website in a folder you'll need to enter this with your web address i.e http://yourname.magix.net/public/ordner/index.htm"

I don't know what should be in place of yourname.

Probably your user name. Did you receive a confirmation e-mail from Magix? Or is their a user name you use to FTP to their servers?

The email address that Magix used for me is of the form email1@gmail.com. so I suppose that I could try email1 and email1@gmail.com as the user name.

I will have a go and tell you of success or otherwise.

I did that before I hit send. the user name is the full email address that Magix uses to communicate with you.

FTP access worked well. I used the email address na.cooke1@gmail.com as the user name and all was well.

I uploaded my site and all was still well. It appeared in the correct subfolder (sproxtonwebdesigns).

Nw this is what the magix web site tells me:

It is so frustrating and the Magix support forum is not responding so I am getting nothing from them.

How do others get there sit to work using Magix?

It's OK I happened across the correct URL while hunting through the Magix site. Unfortunately I can't remember just where I found the info but the actual URL turned out to be: http://nacooke1.magix.net/public/spr...igns/index.htm.

I fear that Magix was not very helpful in this!

Just realised that I still had the tab open so I should be able to give sufficient info for this thread to be helpful to someone else.

The ifo is in a section of the "Control Centre" headed "FTP space" "My FTP Web Site".

Just a small error in your Sproxtongala site. The first sentence on the welcome page reads "We know that you will had fun at the Sproxton Gala" Had instead of have.
