Microsoft Updated, Now Designer Pro 7 Times Out

I just did 17 Microsoft Windows 7 Security updates. Now my Designer Pro 7 times out before it will upload. Anyone else experience this? Is there a way to increase DP7's length of time before it times out? It does it on all my sites, not just a particular one. When I click on explore web space, it also timed out. I am able to connect through my FTP program and upload that way.

Jim you could try a complete power down of your machine the power it up after a short pause. The updates should have asked for a reboot but sometimes that alone will not clear out some areas of memory and the power down should fix that.

If you still experience problems connecting after that we can walk through the steps to change the connection type and time out.

Tried rebooting (powered off). Still the same problem. I have both DP6 and DP7, and I get timed out with both.

Jim do you have XaReg 1.4.4.0? If not you can go to the link in my signature you get it.

Open XaReg Select the version of DP you wish to try first and select the FTP tab. The FTP connection type defaults to Auto Detect. Change it to Active FTP. Try to have DP connect, if it still times out you can start XaReg again and try using the Passive FTP connection type. Usually the Active FTP type will work more often than the Passive FTP type.

Jim just to be sure I understand, you closed all versions of DP and then ran XaReg to change the setting, closed XaReg then opened DP to try and connect?

Yes I have Xareg. I closed all versions, ran XaReg, changed the setting, closed XaReg, opened DP7 and tried uploading. Still got the same time out. Didn't notice any difference in connection speed (or attempt to connect) with any of the settings.
