    Default new user seeks answer

Hi, I been using illustrator ( no expert) but have just start playing with x-pro5, and was wondering , when sending a pdf in illustator, to make sure your font doesn't default I would 'convert to outlines'. I believe in corel its 'create curves'.
    What's the eqivalent in xara?

no probs - when you do this you will get a group - to 'expand' this to individual objects ['letters'] you usually need to ungroup twice...

I am a rookie user beginning a t shirt business and have had issues with my files not being compatible with AI or Corel Draw from the screen printers perspective. What is best way to save, export files that are ready to use by the printer?

Welcome to TalkGraphics (you too T man).

There should be an option when you create/export your PDF file Advanced Options > Object > Convert text into shapes.

This way the text in your original document remains editable.

If you don't have these options, then save your document with a new name, such as Flyer Text Converted so you can go back and edit the text if necessary.
