I know Reading (at least the town centre, anyway). You have my deepest sympathy.

Sorry, Rik it wasn't my intention to denigrate Reading or, indeed your choice of route.
My main purpose was an appreciation of the juxtaposition of light, and traffic sign that you so cleverly spotted.
