Default XPS import in DXP X9

I cannot import XPS files in XDP X9 without running X9 as an administrator each session (running as admin once doesn't "fix" the issue). Works fine in previous versions.

What happens if you don't run the program as administrator and try to import an XPS file?

How are you importing the XPS file (drag and drop/File > Import etc..)+

Oops, belay that Pete--but thanks for the reply. It does work after running as Admin with a reboot.

I do, however, get a warning dialog. In DXP X I do not get the warning dialog on the same XPS document. I publish a series of calendars each year for a company and XPS has been the file type that has the least issues coming from their software. So while the dialog shows, it does work.

***Edit*** in answer to your question, I am using Import and selecting the XPS file type.

    Pete,

I was only playing around when I found the issue to begin with. I don't start work on the new calendar sets for a month. The above dialog does not appear when importing XPS documents from their calendar software.

I had created a calendar in Word 2010 and saved as an XPS from Word this morning for some other purpose. I have used Word calendars in past but in previous XDP versions. Like I mentioned, XDP X does not present the above dialog on the same Word 2010 XPS document.

In my DPX9 64bit that file produces a no filters found warning.
The import results in a small JPEG being imported.

MS XPS viewer shows the calendar correctly however.

That error and the resultant low-res preview only happens when using the all files option. If you choose XPS from the filter list you should/might get the other dialog.

Using Import and selecting the XPS file type I got the message below. I clicked [Open] and the file opened without any other issues.

Try the same file in version X or ver 7.
