Thread: Gallery Effects

  1. #1

    Default Gallery Effects

Im looking to create an effective gallery / slideshow in WD6.

Ideally I'd like a scroll bar along the bottom (arrows left and right) to scroll the thumbnails... Im thinking this isn't possible though in WD6? Possibly in later versions?

Can anyone suggest a similar effect that would make some nice use of space and be user friendly? If I create the thumbnails on different layers and use arrow buttons to switch between the layers Im thinking the slideshow isn't going to work.

Have a look at Visual Slide Show Maker http://visualslideshow.com/

It's a free/paid slide show program that creates slide shows that will work on all mobile devices as well as in all browsers.

It does not have as many effects as the Flash based slide show programs, but it can put together a very effective show which you can add to your website via a place holder.

    I've followed this thread http://xara-users.info/demos/fadein-slideshow/index.htm
but I've got WD6 and don't have the same functions as later versions. Can anyone provide advice how this can be achieved using WD6?

WDMX, WDpremMX and DPX make this a lot easier. If you are happy using place-holders for code give this a look.
