There is no need to copy graphics off the website to re-use; it's not good policy to ever do that with copyright material.

Understood. However, I would only ever do that if I had full written permission from the copyright holder/representative and he/she was happy with it ... and only then if there were no existing banners/buttons/supplied logo etc available to use.

Hans - don't worry I understood what you meant with your suggestion. All I was saying, was that in my original post I already did ask permission. As I certainly wouldn't use anything without gaining that permission either.
