Well, OK since no one else is going to answer this question

In the Help menu, click on Movies to go to a page with videos that explain the basics.

Also, with any Tool selected, press F1 for a context sensitive menu pertaining to that tool.

Likewise, in any menu or dialog, press Help for help with the options pertaining to that menu or dialog.

First there is no such Xara product as Photo and Web Designer, there is Designer Pro, Photo and Graphic designer, Web Designer or Web Designer Premium. Each version has different capabilities. If you can give us the actual name of the product you are using it will help us help you
