Default Paste HTML Code Into Head Section

    Hi.
I have Web Designer MX 8 & am trying to paste some HTML code into the head section of my index page, but cannot see a way to do it.

I have made a placeholder, but on the Web Properties-Placeholder tab there is only a button to paste html code into the body-anyone got any ideas how to paste into the head section.

    Cheers.

    Phil.

    Welcome to TalkGraphics Phil

Paste your code in the Website Properties > Page tabbed section as shown. If you want your code to appear in the HEAD tag for the entire site then do this on the Website tabbed section.

And, these two buttons (HEAD and BODY) are also in the Placeholder tabbed section.

Thanks for the reply, but I don't have a HTML Code Head button-unless I'm missing something

Sorry, I don't understand that reply-that is a genuine screen shot of the web properties tab.
I have MX 8.0.2.21761 if that's any help.

OK. If you are serious then there is something wrong. My apologies. This just does not sound possible.

You are using Xara Web Designer MX version (Help > About Xara Web Designer MX Premium) 8.0.2.21761?

And if so, is there a Replace with HTML Code HTML Code (head) button in the Website or Placeholder tabbed sections?

Gary the Web Designer MX dialogs are not the same as the Web Designer MX Premium dialogs.

The placeholder can be given the name <head>, the same as in older versions of Web Designer.

Ah, I did not know that. Thanks for the info, Bill. How dumb do I feel?

So, Phil, enter the code in the Body area, then click the yellow tag (Names) icon on the Infobar and name your placeholder <head>. Press Add and then Close.

Thanks for your help-problem is now sorted.
I found that you need to use a transparent placeholder. otherwise the placeholder appears on the webpage when uploaded.
    Thanks again for your help.

Philcope if you move the placeholder off the page area, onto the pasteboard area you do not need to make it invisible.
