well, I won't go silly at all. For the communities it's just a logical consequence to move to Linux. If I would have been on the board, I would already have made the switch to Linux a year ago.

IMHO it would be the best to move all servers in this country to Linux, leaving just a few exotic applications like CAD, urban planning etc in the Windows environment.

But I guess we will see this happen in the next five years. Until then I'll enjoy my Linux systems and Windows machines - there is no way to run the CAD and 3D stuff on the Linux machines without cracking your fingers...

At least Opera Software is developing for all platforms, even for QNX, the real time OS (QNX). It's a full blown OS on one single 3.5" floppy, including a text eidtor, internet browser and network capabilities. Small **is** beautiful.

My vision: to have QNX, along with XARA and a CAD system minimized to a similar small size on 3 floppies - a real threat for the hardware industry!
