xdp6 Editing print ready PDF's for commercial printing.

    Hi all,
This post is regarding using Designer Pro to edit print ready PDF's (with crop marks, colour bars etc) created using Photoshop and Illustrator.
I can do the edits, but if I try and export the file it corrupts (colour values change, some text changes col)

The files are supplied to me by a designer and sometimes I need to do urgent changes myself before going to print. I have unticked the 'add printers marks' box to avoid a double set of marks and colour bars and have the fonts installed too.
Does anyone have experience doing this? Any suggestions would be a great help!

    Thank you in advance,
    Tom

    Hello Tom,

    Can you provide a sample?

Yes to Illustrator, no to Photoshop. Colour values should be fine but I always check the important ones. The text thing D Pro will always by default export rich black if you move the K slider down and then back up it will export properly and of course set CMY to 0%. Worked for Scottish national newspaper for many years and did this on a daily basis getting Illy files sent to me at home and at work modifying them and exporting them from D Pro.

Hi, thank you! That was the fix!
Cheers for your help on this.

I have another small problem regarding exporting which I'm trying to resolve myself...is it ok if I ask you if I can't get it fixed?
