Default Message at startup of XD/Xtreme about faux/bold fonts

    Hello,

when I start XD/Xtreme and open documents with some fonts inside I all time becomes the message about faux/bold fonts (Message box which I must quit with "ok"). Is there a way or tweak to disable this message?

    Thanks for any help.

    Tom

    Hi,
I would take the message to refer to a font within the document that is not installed on your system, and not embeded in the document. you could find the font on internet an install it.

    Don't use those fonts.

Previous versions (a few versions ago) supported pseudo bold and italic fonts by physically modifying the font if the font did not have these styles. But in keeping with Adobe who does not support these artificial styles, Xara discontinued the practice.

If you need to identify the miscreant fonts, open the Names gallery and select the font and press Select. You can now change all instances of that font on the page with a font that does have a bold and/or italic style.

This matters if you prepare a document for print using these pseudo styles, the styles will default back to only what is available in that font.

In the old Xara version, obviously.
