MAC USERS OUT THERE?

I guess, like me, you've decided that designing a website with Xara makes it worthwhile having to port Windows along with a simulator app. I'm at the earliest stages. I've just installed Windows XP Professional and Parallels Desktop 7 and am waiting for Xara Web Designer MX Premium 8 to arrive by mail.

All the simulation is just for Xara; I'm not likely to be using any other Windows apps. So far I've set Parallels to "act like Mac" and that's about it.

Anybody out there with roughly the same setup? If so, I'd like to take advantage of your on-the-ground experience. I'd greatly welcome any tips and advice having to do with setting things up and using any of the software.

Hi Dave.

If I understood your post correctly?!

I am using a MacBook Pro, with Parallels and running Windows 7.
This is the only way I can run Xara Designer Pro, on my MacBook.

Everything works pretty well, apart from minor things like 'PrintScreen', but I have assigned 'ALT+P' for that.
So, it just the peripheral things that cause minor irritations.
But, nothing that gets in the way of anything that I want to do in Xara.

Everything works very well indeed.

I installed trial version of Designer MX and one or two other versions as well.
I didn't really have any problems.

I'll be getting back to you, if I may, once I start in with the Magix/Parallels/Windows stuff. I'm sure (absolutely) that things'll come up.

i use mac but i have never experienced having trouble with design, windows XP is a good choice for you
