    nice design sketch

as an aside nothing to do with the design according to companies house, you cannot use the word "royal" in a company name word unless the cabinet office confirms that it has no objection.

considering this company provides no information other than a mobile phone number it's not likely they would get that approval

mind you its not even a limited company

looks like one man and his dog and a couple of mobile phones

I am told that they are a two man band with 25 employees and quite a lot of vehicles and some dogs. As for the name I'm sure Liz won't mind.

The name and logo implies that they are connected in some way to security for the Royals. It would not surprise me to hear that someone has been beating their front door down!

i'm sure she won't, but the overpaid civil servants who look after such matters might well mind

on a serious note - be very careful indeed not to give anyone the impression that this is 'by royal appointment' implicitly or explicitly stated, and do not to use anything that is crown copyright without permission

you may not end up in the tower, but you may end up out of pocket

    ok point taken

so now we move on to legal concept of culpability on the part of those agents who should, by virtue of their professionalism, know better and therefore end up as accessories to the misdemeanor....

maybe nothing to loose sleep over, but stranger things have happened....

OK>? if you say so. Seriously though this is a forum for design critique, sticking with that would be a good start. You try telling a customer that their name may or may not be illegal in some way, that will lead to you losing their business straight away because no matter that you think a client would like you to point these things out they do not, as far as they are concerned they do not want to be told how to run their own business, yes you can tell them (and they will appreciate your expertise in the subject) that they cannot use images without copyright or that a certain colour would suit the business better etc. A business which has been established for a decade; quite successfully, does not want to hear from you that their name may be illegal.

You really need to check up on certain laws if you think that a web designer is liable in ANY way because they did not point out to a client that their name was illegal.

whay wait a minuite - this is about design of the web site

a web designer is just as responible for the design being legal as is the client

if the design promulgates/publishes/perpetuates something that is not legal, the designer cannot wash their hands of it if it can be shown they were, or should have been, aware of it - and if they think otherwise they are in cloud cookoo land - they should refuse to do it

    that's all I'm saying
