    A little late with this example.

    This was done on Friday where I had to imitate a color ramp.

    The gaussian live-effect is show below their respective linear fill.

    It would be nice if the Fill Profile Dialog was available for Custom User Color fills so we could use the bottom slider to do blurring between the hue-steps.

    jclements, thanks for the example! However, your case is quite different: You have banding in the input, and then you use the Gaussian blur effect to get rid of it.

    In my case, the input makes full use of the 24 bit color depth. Only in the output I see the banding. Here the Diffuse effect comes in nicely. It is somewhat akin to general purpose dithering.
